American Girl Doll

Nanna sent Sydney an American Girl Just Like You doll for her b-day. We just now have stopped long enough to take pictures of it and of them in their matching outfits! She LOVES this doll - takes it everywhere with her and ofcourse sleeps with it!
I'll take some more pics bc after Syd being outside all weekend this weekend she and the doll are about the same color!

Mother Goose Play

The kindergarten class at AEP presented the Mother Goose Play for students and parents yesterday. It was PRECIOUS! Sydney and 2 others were stars and danced to Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. The kids all did a wonderful job remembering their lines and speaking so that they could be heard and understood. I was very proud! Just included a few pics.

Our first sleepover

Should we be worried?!?

Sydney was invited to spend the night with a friend on Thursday night over Spring Break. Unfortunately, she was still sick but doing better. Instead, we had Maddy over on Friday. We played dress up - hair, make up, heels - the whole nine yards! The girls had a time!
We took them to eat at Monjuni's and they sat at their own table.
Myles wasn't sure what to think of having another girl along. It took some time for him to realizethat Sydney did not want him to play with them. Eventually he gave up. It was cute though - after we took Maddy home the next day - he asked where she was several times and told us how he missed her. I told her mother that he was going to like older women so watch out!

Myles singing -too cute

Myles decided to entertain us one night before bed. I couldn't resist recording it because it's so sweet to hear him sing. Hope you enjoy!

Spring Break - Dallas Trip

Spring Break was lots of fun. It flew by. My Grandmother who lived in Ruston for several years, had recently moved to Sulphur Springs, Texas with my Aunt and Uncle. We were able to visit with them and it was so good to see everyone.
We spent one day at Six Flags! The kids had the best time. There were lots of rides that even Myles could ride. Sydney didn't know to be scared - she and Tedd rode Flashback! She quickly learned to be scared after going upside down and backwards for several loops. HA! She said she would do it again but I'd have to see it to believe it. She did enjoy the Judge Roy Scream, the Mine Train, Log Ride, and several others.

We also were able to go to a Texas Rangers game. This was the first "real" baseball game the kids have been to. It was fun - a little cool that day but still had a good time.
We also shopped some. We went to the Galleria and the American Girl Store! Sydney and I were both in shock in that store! It was very neat if your child is into the Dolls and Sydney is!
After our trip - Sydney started running fever on the way home and was sick for the rest of the week. We could not get her fever to break - just a virus. She ran fever for 5 days - no fun.
It was very nice to get away for a few days!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Our church had the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Neal's home. They are so sweet to do this every year. There were several thousand eggs hid all over their property split up by age groups. WOW! Myles thought he was in heaven! He has been every year but this was his first time to know what to do and get into it! Last year he picked up 1 egg, sat down to eat the candy inside and by the time he got up all the eggs were gone!

This year he made a mad dash to pick up as many eggs as possbile! He filled his basket!

Sydney had a strategy - she decided to run out ahead of everybody instead of picking up the first eggs that she came to. It worked - she too filled her basket!

They had jumpy castles and hay rides - lots of fun! We look forward to this every year.

Sydney's school easter Egg Hunt

I was on the committee for Sydney's school Easter Egg Hunt and Party. They had quite a spread! The party was very nice and even the Easter bunny was present. Robin Robbins dressed up as the Easter Bunny - he even hopped down a trail to arrive at the party! The party was at Lincoln Parish Park and he backed his truck up on one of the trails and literally came hopping down the bunny trail! The kids ate, hunting eggs, and played some games.
