A Day Full of Birthday Parties

Check out the shoes!

Syd and Myles at Cannon's party

We began our Saturday with a bowling party for Sydney's friend, Jack. It was at the LA Tech Bowling Alley. For those of you that have not been to the new bowling alley - it is VERY nice. They have the cool lights and electronic scoring. The kids had a great time.

After that party, Myles friend, Cannon, had a party at Trinity. They were so cute! They jumped and bounced and rode on everything in sight! His cake was in the shape of a Crayola crayon box - too cute!

We left that party and went to Waterfront Grill to eat for Jason's birthday. Sydney and Jalyn haven't spent much time together since Christmas with all of us being sick. They enjoyed chatting over dinner.

I was glad to be home after a long day!

Children's Table

As some of you know, mom and I paint children's furniture. We started it when Sydney was a baby. We painted several things for her and then friends had babies and we painted for them. As more people saw our stuff they've asked us to do things. We love to do it! This is a table we painted over the weekend for a girl in town. I think it turned out PRECIOUS! Did I mention it take HOURS? many many hours

Sydney's snack day

Don't have but a second but wanted to share the cupcakes that my mom and I made for Sydney's snack day. Tedd had to deliver them so I'm not sure they looked like this when they got there!

Dr. Myles

Poor baby - you can tell he's sick by looking at his eyes.

Myles decided to play Dr. on himself the other night! I've been doctoring his face and nose with this thick moisturizing cream I got at the pharmacy. His face got so dry and chapped from wiping his nose SO much. I missed him for a few minutes and he was very quiet. I knew we were in trouble! The picture shows how I found him! He doesn't understand the concept of "Just a little."

Donuts

When Myles was sick I introduced him to chocolate donuts. He has always eaten donut holes but recently decided he likes "big donuts." Did I mention he loves chocolate. He hadn't eaten much in a couple of days and I felt sorry for him SO I got him his first BIG chocolate donut. He loved it! I thought it was so funny how he ate all the chocolate off the top of the donut! Sorry to bore you today!

Tokyo Hibatchi Grill

My kids love to eat at Tokyo Hibatchi Grill in Monroe. We have taken them since they were very young and it is a favorite of the family. They learned at a early age to eat with chopsticks. I thought you'd enjoy seeing some pics of them. We went for Francis birthday. Happy Birthday G-da!

COUGHING, SNOT, AND SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

The three go hand in hand - coughing, snot, and sleepless nights.

So much for my last report of Myles ears being clear. We have another ear infection and are SICK, SICK, SICK. He has laid around on me for 3 days now and been so FUSSY! This is no fun.

I was off work on Wednesday and Thursday with Myles. I thought I would go back today and Tedd would stay home with Myles but... Last night Sydney decided to get sick too. She has a bad cough and a little fever. Hers was only a viral infection that has to run its course. YUCK! That means no medicine. We had x-rays and no pneumonia for her! That was a plus. She is not as sick as him but I didn't want to go into the weekend with her being sick and not have her checked out.

I haven't slept in 3 or 4 nights - surely it will get better soon! Just about the time I get comfortable and doze off to sleep somebody is crying or calling my name. So frustrating but as Tedd said "That's one of the joys of motherhood!" Guess you have to take the bad with the good!
